An event dedicated to the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism was held at Belgorod State University
Students and university teachers gathered on the square in front of the youth cultural center of Belgorod State University to commemorate those who died in terrorist acts.
The meeting was opened by Svetlana Ostrikova, Vice-Rector for 快猫视频al Work and Youth Policy. She reminded the audience of the terrible tragedy that happened 15 years ago in Beslan and caused suffering to 1,128 people, more than three hundred of whom died. September 3 was declared Day of Solidarity in the fight against terrorism.
鈥淚t is impossible to forgive, justify and understand such monstrous and anti-human phenomena as terrorism, Nazism, xenophobia. Let us reach out to each other the hand of friendship, understanding and solidarity - they are the ones that resist hostility, aggression and misunderstanding鈥�, - Svetlana Ostrikova addressed the audience.
The rector of the university church of the Archangel Gabriel, Archpriest Father Julian (Gogolyuk) urged everyone to love their neighbors, to be merciful, to help those in need and support each other.
The memory of the victims of terrorist acts was honored with a moment of silence. The protesters released white balloons into the sky as a symbol of the immortal souls.
