According to a survey conducted by the state-run media company 'Rossiya Sevodnya', our University is ranked 6th out of the 87 'Classical' Universities in the Federation
The comprehensive study involved all 444 institutes of higher education (HEI) in the country, and was based on data submitted on the academic year ending in 2018. assessed HEIs on criteria including citations for researchers, commercial activity linked to intellectual property and patents, and the proportion of students who are employed upon graduation. Our University was near the top in the latter category, with an impressive 93.7%, and performed well in citations and commercialisation.
The ranking included 126 Engineering Colleges, 87 Classical Universities, 68 Humanities Colleges, 56 Agricultural Colleges, 59 Management Schools, and 48 Medical Colleges. As expected, the top Classical University remains Moscow State University (which is also top overall), with the Ural Federal University in Yekatarinburg in second, and South-West University in Kursk taking third place.
