Oleg Polukhin, Rector of the Belgorod National Research University, welcomed new students. He said that University鈥檚 scientific, educational, cultural, sports and social-educational achievements gave hope for a really promising future. He wished success and more achievements in the new academic year, too.
Valery Sergachev, the first Deputy Minister and Head of the Department of Domestic and Personal Policy, was also invited to the celebratory assembly. According to him Belgorod National Research University is a unique educational institution: for only several decades it transformed from the Pedagogical Institute into one of the leading Universities in Russia.
In accordance with the tradition first year students were instructed by their senior colleagues and swore a solemn oath.
